The present invention relates to a method forthe treatment and/or prophylaxis of a degenerative inflammatory process in a tissue of a subject, said method comprising increasing the activity of Toll-like receptor 3 (TLR3) in cells of said tissue. In a preferred embodiment the TLR3 agonist is stathmin or stathmin-like proteins (SCG10, SCLIP or RB3). |
