PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide technology capable of suppressing the very largeness of a power supply circuit and driving in a control mode suitable depending on the application, with respect to a laser light source device equipped with a wavelength conversion component. SOLUTION: The laser light source device 100 includes: a light source section including first and second fundamental light sources for emitting first and second fundamental wave light beams according to supplied drive currents respectively and a wavelength conversion component for allowing incidence thereon of the first and second fundamental light beams to produce first and second converted light beams by wavelength conversion; and a drive current controller 25 capable of controlling the drive currents supplied to respective fundamental light sources. The first and second fundamental light sources emit the fundamental wave light beams such that the first and second converted light beams substantially have the same color and timings of reaching peaks of amounts of the first and second converted light beams do not mutually overlap.
