<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an extension device, reducing the thickness of an electronic device. <P>SOLUTION: This extension device 5 includes: a frame part 11 formed like a flat U-shape, which houses an HDD unit 10; a bezel part 12 provided on the front of the frame part 11 to constitute a part of a casing for a notebook-sized personal computer 1; and a first interface connector 13 provided on the back of the frame part 11 to be electrically connected to the notebook-sized personal computer 1. The frame part 11 includes: sidewall parts 17, 18 supporting the HDD unit 10; and a rear wall part 21 provided with a second interface connector 20 coupled to the HDD unit 10, wherein the sidewall parts 17, 18 and the rear wall part 21 are all formed thinner than the HDD unit 10. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT</p> |
