<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image display apparatus performing more useful display by using a main display area and a plurality of sub-display areas, and also to provide a technique related to the image display apparatus. <P>SOLUTION: The imaging apparatus (image display apparatus) 1 includes a rear monitor 12 (display means) having the main display area MR and the plurality of sub-display areas SR1 to SR3. Further, the display control means of the imaging apparatus 1 controls display content on the rear monitor 12, to display a plurality of images in the plurality of sub-display areas SR1 to SR3, and to display an image P2 displayed in one sub-display area (for instance, SR2) of the plurality of sub-display areas SR1 to SR3 in the main display area MR as well. In response to input to instruct changing processing including image enlarging processing, the already enlarged image P2 obtained by enlarging a part to be enlarged in the image P2 is displayed in the main display area MR, and also frame display FH showing the part to be enlarged is superimposed on the image P2 which has not been enlarged yet and displayed in the one sub-display area SR2. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
