<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a walking aid that is attachable to leg frames used for broken or fractured bones or leg deformities in human or animal legs. <P>SOLUTION: The walking aid includes at least one weight bearing actuator adaptable to take some or all of the users weight when walking. Suitably two actuators are utilized, each consisting of a gas strut 10. Two actuators each comprising a gas strut 10 are symmetrically positioned to the outside of the leg frames 4, can be adjustable in height by a rotary joint 18, and are equipped with a rose joint 20 and rubber mounting 22 for allowing twisting motion of a leg 1 normally occurring during walking. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
