PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rotary die cutter capable of continuously cutting a workpiece by properly maintaining pressure between a worn cutting blade provided on a die roll and the die roll even if an extent of wear progressing in the cutting blade differs from location thereof. SOLUTION: The workpiece W is sandwiched between a cutting edge of the cutting blade 23 and the outer peripheral face 23a and cut while the pressing peripheral faces 24a, 24a of the die roll 20 are press-contacted with an outer peripheral face 32a of an anvil roll 30. As the extent of wear of the cutting blade 23 differs from the location thereof, the width of the pressing peripheral faces 24a, 24a opposed to portions of the cutting blade 23 where cutting edge quickly wears is shortened, then pressing pieces 25 are fitted to the respective portions of the pressing peripheral faces 24a, 24a. When the cutting edge wear is progressed and the pressing pieces 25 are removed, an elastic shrinkage deformation amount of the pressing peripheral faces 24a, 24a increases at the portions with shortened width so that pressing force between the worn cutting edge and the outer peripheral face 32a can be increased.
