This invention relates to a parking brake mounting system for a vehicle comprising a parking brake actuator assembly (13) having an operating handle (18) hinged to a ratchet (15) by a rivet (19), said ratchet (15) being connected to a 'U' shaped channel bracket (1 ) supported on seat frame (3,4) between driver seat and co-driver seat, a pair of parking brake cables (41,42) connected to said actuator assembly (13) through an equalizer (30), outer sleeve (44) of said cables hold by a bracket (2) attached to the leg (31 ) of said seat frame and connected to the floor (40) of said vehicle.
