A configuration method and device for access network, the method includes: step 1, the various heterogeneous network element equipment in the access network being identified as the access components or the media resource components, which are configured with the component management identifiers respectively; step 2, according to the component management identifiers of the access components and the media resource components, creating a resource management relation table for the access components and the media resource components by the main control equipment; and step 3, creating the user for entering the access network, and enabling the userto obtain the service provided by the media resource components through the access components according to the resource management relation table. Thereby, the invention provides network operators the ability to re-configure the network in the human-computer interface, and enables the network operators to adjust the network structure in the network evolution process. With the changing needs of the operators, the network equipment can provides the ability to change and not subject to the equipment manufacturer's design.
