PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pneumatic tire 2 superior in operation stability, durability and riding comfort. SOLUTION: The tire 1 is provided with a carcass 10; and a pair of sidewalls 6 positioned at outer sides in an axial direction of the carcass 10. The carcass 10 is provided with a first ply 20 including a first cord 24 inclined relative to an equator surface; and a second ply 22 including a second cord 28 inclined relative to the equator surface. The first cord 24 is formed by twisting three yarns comprising polyethylene naphthalate fiber. Size of the yarn is 1,670 dtex or less. The second cord 28 is formed by twisting three yarns comprising polyethylene naphthalate fiber. Size of the yarn is 1,670 dtex or less.
