<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the durability of components disposed in an engine compartment of a turbocharged engine having a catalyst or a particulate filter disposed below a turbocharger, and also to improve the cooling performance of main body of the engine. <P>SOLUTION: The turbocharged engine 9 has: a radiator disposed in the front part of the engine compartment, an engine body disposed behind the radiator in the longitudinal direction of a vehicle, and a turbocharger 17 and a catalyst or particulate filter stacked together in the vertical direction of the vehicle and disposed ahead of the engine body in the longitudinal direction of the vehicle. When the engine compartment is viewed from the longitudinal front side of the vehicle, a space is formed between an upper surface of the radiator and a lower surface of an upper member disposed above the radiator so that the turbocharger is disposed at a position protruding upward from the upper surface of the radiator in the vertical direction of the vehicle. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT</p> |
