FIXED SHAPED REFRACTORY BRICK WITH SPALLING RESISTANCE AND EROSION RESISTANCE, METHOD FOR PRODUCING THE SAME, AND FIRE-PROOFING WALL

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fixed shaped refractory brick with spalling resistance and erosion resistance, to provide a method for producing the fixed shaped refractory brick, and to provide a fire-proof wall.

SOLUTION: The fixed shaped refractory brick is obtained by press-molding a raw material preparation essentially consisting of alumina-silica particles and controlling its porosity to 3 to 15%. By incorporating 5 to 30 mass% coarse alumina-silica particles of 5 to 30 mm, its thermal spalling resistance is improved. By allowing aluminum phosphate crystals to coexist into a refractory matrix linking the space of the alumina-silica particles and further incorporating 1 to 10 mass% amorphous ceramic powder with the average particle diameter of ≤1 μm, its erosion resistance is improved. The fixed shaped refractory brick is produced by press-molding the raw material preparation and thereafter drying the same at 150 to 350°C. The fire-proof wall can be composed of the fixed shaped refractory brick.
