PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow viewing or listening of video contents or sound contents by a user in a proper state.

SOLUTION: A signal processor includes a content acquisition part 11 for receiving or storing contents composed of stream data, a characteristic-amount extraction part 13 for extracting a prescribed amount of characteristics of the contents acquired by the content acquisition part 11, a detection part 17 for detecting viewing time or listening time of the contents acquired by the contents acquisition part 11, and further, a processing part 17 that calculates information of a viewing state or a listening state of the contents determined based on an extraction state of the characteristic amount extracted by the characteristic-amount extraction part 13 and the viewing time or the listening time of the contents and outputs the calculated information of the viewing state or the listening state of the contents.
