PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize the high working accuracy and the high working efficiency when cutting a workpiece by a saw wire, and to enhance the productivity of the saw wire having unevenness on its surface. SOLUTION: Recessed parts 1A (or projecting parts) are formed on a surface of a saw wire 1 by the electrolyte jetting. The respective recessed parts 1A are formed in a line across the axial direction of the saw wire 1, and formed at every set space S along the axial direction.
