PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To appropriately control the relation between sensitivity and the number of images to be continuously photographed, when a plurality of images photographed continuously are composited to correct blurring due to camera shake. SOLUTION: This imaging device is employed for acquiring an image which is less affected by the blurring due to camera shake and is exposed as aimed, by compositing a plurality of underexposed images photographed continuously at a fast shutter speed which is hardly affected by the blurring due to camera shake, and is provided with an imaging section for performing photoelectric conversion of a subject image to generate an image signal, a setting section for setting an upper limit value of the sensitivity of the imaging section, and a control section for controlling photographing conditions for each of images to be photographed continuously, and the number of images to be photographed continuously, based on the upper limit value of the sensitivity set by the setting section.
