PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical path-selecting device which decreases troublesomeness in an optical path-selecting optical element and in opening and closing a shutter to prevent stray light, and also provide an illumination device having the same and a microscope having the same. SOLUTION: The optical path-selecting device 120 includes; an optical path-selecting means 120 which selects the optical paths of light from a plurality of light sources each connected to a plurality of connection ports 120a, 120b, respectively; detection means 54, 55 which detect the positions of optical paths which are changed by the optical path-selecting means; light-shielding means 52, 53 which are arranged between the connection ports and the optical path-selecting means; and a control means which controls the positions of the light-shielding means on the basis of the signals from the detection means.
