PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicle air conditioner capable of preventing air causing discomfort feeling to an occupant at a rear seat from being blown. SOLUTION: The vehicle air conditioner is constituted so as to have a center face duct 53 for circulating air-conditioned air blown to an upper body side of the occupant at a front seat in a cabin; a blowing port mode switching door 57 for opening and closing the center face duct 53; a rear seat duct 60 branched from the center face duct 53 in a downstream side more than the blowing port mode switching door 57 and circulating air-conditioned air blown to the rear seat side in the cabin; an assist blower 61 provided on the rear seat duct 60 and increasing an air amount of air-conditioned air blown to the rear seat side; and an air-conditioning ECU 100 for operation-controlling the assist blower 61 so that the number of revolution of the assist blower 61 at a face mode and a by-level mode becomes smaller than the number of revolution of the assist blower 61 at a foot mode, a foot differential mode and a defroster mode.
