<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an oil filter for allowing simple and easy mounting/demounting of a filter element in/from a housing, wherein the housing and a cover as well as the filter element are recyclable. <P>SOLUTION: The oil filter comprises the bottomed cylindrical housing mountable on an equipment body and opening at one end, a filter element unit to be detachably mounted in the housing, and a cover member for closing an opening portion of the housing. The cover member has a screw portion to be detachably threaded to a screw portion of the housing. Between the cover and the housing, a seal member is mounted for sealing a space between the housing and the cover. An element body as part of the filter element unit is formed of a metal net member.
