PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging apparatus and observation equipment which can efficiently discharge moisture. SOLUTION: An image sensor 12 picks up an image of a cell, and a cooling element 13 cools the image sensor 12. An enclosed chamber 19 housing the image sensor 12 and the cooling element 13 is formed and a dehumidification element 15 embedded near the cooling element 13 on the wall surface to which the cooling element 13 is fixed dehumidifies the inside of the enclosed chamber 19. The wall surface to which the cooling element 13 is fixed comprises one side of a heat radiator 14 for radiating heat emitted from the cooling element 13 to the outside of the enclosed chamber 19, and the dehumidification element 15 is embedded in the heat radiator 14.
