PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To effectively function and economy mode even without the consciousness of an occupant in a vehicular air conditioner of manual operation. SOLUTION: A compressor operation control temperature when a temperature adjustment lever 7 is positioned in a place where the lever is moved from a MAX-COOL position by a predetermined range (idle area=range of gradual variation area) is varied to a higher temperature relative to a compressor operation control temperature when the temperature adjustment lever 7 is positioned at the MAX-COOL position. By this, by moving the temperature adjustment lever 7 from the MAX-COOL position to a heating side by a predetermined range or larger, the compressor operation control temperature is controlled to a high value and when a conventional economy switch is naturally turned on.
