摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a discharge state detector which can detect the state of a liquid-droplet discharge means from the current value of drive power without altering a circuit for driving the liquid-droplet discharge means, and to provide a liquid-droplet discharger and a discharge state detection program. SOLUTION: When the state of a discharge nozzle for discharging a liquid-droplet from a discharge port communicating with a pressure chamber and the outside thereof is detected by varying the pressure in a pressure chamber for containing liquid by means of a piezoelectric element 62C, a substrate voltage VDD being applied to a CMOS inverter circuit 52 for switching a voltage being applied to the piezoelectric element 62C is switched to a voltage VDD2 which is lower than a substrate voltage VDD1 at the time of image recording to apply a detection waveform to a CMOS inverter circuit 52, and a physical quantity corresponding to the current value Is of power being supplied to the CMOS inverter circuit 52 at a drive voltage VH2 is detected to derive a variation period of the current value Is from the detection result, so that a determination is made that a liquid-droplet discharge means is not in a normal state if the variation period thus derived does not satisfy preset conditions.
