<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ignition timing control device for an internal combustion engine, securing stable combustion and improving driveability without causing misfire and knocking, by properly setting an ignition timing in a compression stroke injection mode. <P>SOLUTION: The ignition timing control device is provided for an internal combustion engine 3 in which fuel is injected directly into cylinder 3a and which is operated selectively in an intake stroke injection mode or the compression stroke injection mode. It comprises: a fuel injection timing setting means 2 for setting a fuel injection timing INJOBJ depending on a revolution speed NE of the internal combustion engine 3 and a fuel injection amount GFUEL; a basic value setting means 2 for setting a basic value IGBASE for an ignition timing depending on the revolving speed NE of the internal combustion engine 3 and the fuel injection timing INJOBJ; and an ignition timing setting means 2 for correcting the basic value IGBASE depending on a detected air-fuel ratio AF and setting an ignition timing IGCOMP in the compression stroke injection mode. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
