PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optimized airbag module capable of preventing a vehicle occupant from sliding to the outside of an unfolded airbag in a sidelong angled collision. SOLUTION: The airbag module for an automobile vehicle has an optimized frontal shape comprising a bag 1. The bag 1 newly comprises at least two projections 2, 3 located in the lower part of the bag 1 which provide optimized curved shapes to the bag 1 so that, in the event of a sidelong angled collision of the automobile, the vehicle occupant does not slide to the outside of the unfolded bag 1 since the unfolded bag 1 is fit around the vehicle occupant for different positions, speeds and directions of impacts.
