PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve a degree of freedom in using content, while preventing content duplication without restriction. SOLUTION: When the supplied content is the content of "copy permitted only for one generation" and recording it on an HDD (hard disk drive) 25 is directed by a user, the content for move is created based on the original content, and recorded on a content recording part 56 for move. In a movable content list which is displayed by a list display section 58, a title of the content for move is not displayed, the content for move is made so that its move can be handled by the title of the original content. When the move of the content is directed, the move using the content for move is performed. This invention is applicable to equipment which can record the content broadcasted by digital broadcasting.
