An aqueous inkjet ink suitable for printing photo-images on both photo-glossy receivers and plain papers, said ink comprising at least 50% by weight water, between 0.5% and 8% by weight of 1,2-pentanediol, a humectant distinct from said 1,2-pentanediol, and between 0.2 and 5% by weight of a dispersed pigment colorant, said dispersed pigment colorant exhibiting an average volume weighted 50th percentile particle size of between 0.001 and 0.075 microns.
