摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To further improve an S/N ratio of detection signals detecting an object through a difference between two sensor outputs. <P>SOLUTION: A display device includes: a display screen 200A; a pixel area PA1 including an optical element (liquid crystal element) that generates light with an intensity according to input data and outputs the light to the display screen 200A; a sensor area PA2 containing a pair of light receiving elements each receiving incident light to subject the light to photoelectric conversion (first and second sensors S1, S2, respectively); an optical filter portion 60 disposed within the sensor area PA2 and between the first sensor S1 and the display screen 200A, absorbing incident light in a visible light region VL to cut off while transmitting incident light in a non-visible light region (IR rays); a light-absorbing light-shielding portion 70 disposed between the display screen 200A and the second sensor S2 paced in the vicinity of the first sensor S1 and absorbing incident light (VL, IR and other non-visible light) to cut off; and an arithmetically operating portion (not shown in the figure) to obtain a difference between the sensor outputs. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
