<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a biometrics system for suppressing a system side data capacity, and for reducing the necessity of registration of biological information in a plurality of systems, and for setting the precision of biometrics to a constant level. <P>SOLUTION: An external storage medium 301 is provided with: an area in which biological information is stored; an area in which common ID numbers are stored; a biological information reader 302 for acquiring the biological information of a user; a means for collecting the acquired biological information with the stored biological information; and a common ID output device 306 for outputting the common ID number when it is recognized that a user is a principal as the result of collation. A reader 307 is provided with a common ID reader 308 for reading the common ID number output by the external storage medium 301. A reading DB 311 is provided with an area 313 for storing the registered common ID numbers of users. An authentication system 309 is provided with a means for retrieving the reading DB 311 with the common ID number from the external storage medium, and for authenticating that the user is a registerer when those common ID numbers are matched. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
