<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To display examples of data on display on a portable terminal having a limited storage capacity under the needs for reduced size and weight. <P>SOLUTION: A cellular phone 1 displays data and also address information identifying a dictionary server 2 from which examples of optional data can be acquired, and when determining that the user has selected the address information, sends the data to the dictionary server 2 represented by the address information. The dictionary server 2 searches on the data sent from the cellular phone 1 for an example of the data, and sends an example found to the cellular phone 1.
