<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image evaluation device for performing exposure decision without noticing circumstances where an image has been photographed, and for satisfactorily detecting an exposure defective image corresponding to various exposure defective circumstances. <P>SOLUTION: This image evaluation system 12 is configured of an image information storage part 13 for storing an evaluation object image and the attribute information of the evaluation object image by associating those images; and an image evaluation part 14 for selecting an evaluation object image 100 from the image information storage part 13, and for performing exposure decision to the evaluation object image 100. This image evaluation part 14 extracts at least two or more regions from the evaluation object image 100, and generates an edge image for every region, and selects the region whose edge components to be calculated from the edge region are the highest as a decision region, and performs exposure decision based on the edge components of the decision region. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
