<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a milling cutter tool designed to be used for gear hobbing by a simple feed operation. <P>SOLUTION: The milling cutter tool 1 is suitable for gear hobbing, which comprises, on one hand, a basic body 1 having a geometrical center axis C1 around which the same is rotatable, and, on the other hand, a number of replaceable cutting bodies 2 each one of which includes a set of teeth 17, which are situated with a uniform pitch P along a side of the cutting body. A support surface 9 for the individual cutting body formed in a pocket 8 of the basic body is tilted at a negative axial angle of at least 0.5°in relation to the center axis of the basic body in order to locate the teeth 17 of the cutting body 2 along a common, imaginary helical line X, which is concentric with the center axis of the basic body and has a uniform pitch P, which corresponds with the spacing between the teeth. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT</p> |
