PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide flash fixing toner which can improve wax oozing when flash fixing and is efficiently fixed even when using a little amount of an infrared absorbing agent, and provide an image forming apparatus using it. SOLUTION: This flash fixing toner contains at least a binder resin, coloring agents, wax, and an infra-red light absorbing agent. Further the abundance of the infrared absorbing agent in the boundary between the binder resin and the wax is larger than the abundance of the infrared absorbing agent contained in the binder resin and the abundance of the infrared absorbing agent contained in the wax.
