PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a needle punching machine which surely prevents the collision of punching needles with a needle plate. SOLUTION: A large needle hole 11a through which all punching needles 22c pass on the downward movement of a needle bar 22 is provided in a needle plate 11. Even when the punching needles 22c in the needle hole 11a are somewhat shaken, the punching needles 22c are received in the needle hole 11a, and the collision of the needles 22c with the needle plate 11 is prevented. A cylindrical support 12 is extended from a position below the needle plate 11 to a position on the needle hole 11a. When fiber aggregates are subjected to the insertion and withdrawal of the punching needles 22c, the fiber aggregates are supported on the cylindrical support 12 to prevent the dropping of the aggregates in the needle hole 11a, and the needle punching works is precisely and smoothly performed. The support 12 is cylindrical, and the punching needles 22c passing through the cylinder on the downward movement of the needle bar 22 is allowed to be increased.
