PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicle lighting device capable of naturally attracting the attention of a driver by irradiating an area lacked in confirmation by the driver. SOLUTION: The vehicle lighting device is provided with an irradiation part 18 for irradiating a predetermined range at a front side of a one's own vehicle; a traveling position specifying part 11 for specifying a traveling position; a map DB13 for storing map information; a look measurement part 12 for measuring the look of the driver; a look distribution calculation part 14 for calculating the distribution of the look in each area of the driver based on the map information, the traveling position and the look of the driver; an attention area determination part 15 for determining an area where the driver should pay attention based on the map information and the traveling position; a look distribution determination part 16 for determining the excess/lack of the distribution of the look in each area of the driver by comparing the distribution of the look in each area of the driver with an area where the driver should pay attention; and a vehicle lighting control part 17 for controlling the irradiation direction of the irradiation part 18 based on the excess/lack of the distribution of the look in each area of the driver.
