PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide various wearable elements for a more comfortable and efficient way of carrying external devices related to powering and monitoring an implantable restriction device. SOLUTION: In one exemplary embodiment, a system for forming a restriction in a patient is provided and includes an implantable restriction device adapted to form a restriction in a patient and having an implantable communicating member configured to send and/or receive a wireless signal. This system can further include a wearable element configured to be worn by a patient and an external device coupled to the wearable element which is configured to send and/or receive a wireless signal to communicate with the implantable communicating member.
