PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that a color shift occurs because variations occur in the amount of recording material applied onto a print medium depending on a printing position. SOLUTION: In the printer 30, a deviation occurs between the amount of color ink to be used depending on a printing position, and that of the actually applied color ink, due to difference between so-called plate gaps, etc. Thus, the color shift depending on the printing position may occur. A printing control unit 20 makes the printer 30 print a predetermined calibration pattern, so as to detect the deviation depending on the printing position, and acquires the deviation depending on the printing position, on the basis of the calibration pattern, so as to correct printing data by canceling the deviation.
