PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an AC generator which can prevent short-circuit at a coil end and also can enhance cooling of a stator winding and moreover can reduce noise. SOLUTION: In this AC generator for a vehicle, connection parts are shifted in the circumferential direction, respectively. The distance between each inner circumferential connection part and an end face of a stator core, is different from the distance between each outer circumferential connection part and the end face of the stator core. The outer circumferential connection part is apart from the inner circumferential connection part by a half of a slot portion.
