PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve troublesomeness in viewing a digital television broadcast signal receiver by enabling broadcast channel selection of terrestrial digital television broadcast signals conforming to DVB-T standards and disabling selection of broadcast channels in countries from which the user does not want to view in an area where broadcast signals of a plurality of countries can be received. SOLUTION: A tuner 11 and a TS demultiplexer 12 search out a physical channel of terrestrial digital television broadcast signals conforming to the DVB-T standards, and a TS superimposed thereon as a logic channel, i.e. a broadcast channel is acquired, thereby enabling broadcast channel selection. Further, a control section 13 creates a country-by-country channel list for each country identification information acquired from the broadcast signals, so that only by selecting the channel list, only the broadcast channels of the country from which the user wants to view can be selected based on the selected country-by-country list even in an area where the broadcast signals from a plurality of countries can be received.
