PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pen writing type information display panel performing a clear image display without reducing whiteness and blackness. SOLUTION: In a dot matrix type information display panel performing an information display of an image and the like by encapsulating a display medium including particles which are driven by an electric field in cell spaces isolated from each other by partitions between substrates and applying an electric field from pair electrodes provided on both substrate sides to move the display medium, one display unit (one pixel) is constituted of one cell 7, the display medium encapsulated in each cell is constituted of colored chargeable particles 3B+, a central projecting member 11W is provided in each cell, a color of at least an upper surface of the central projecting member is specified to be a color different from the color of the colored chargeable particles, an information display of the image and the like is erased by applying an electric field between the pair electrodes 5 and 6 to move the display medium, and the writing display of information of the image and the like is performed by applying an electric field between pair electrodes facing each other, formed between a pen tip electrode 22 of a pen type writing device 21 and the electrode 5 of the rear surface side substrate to move the display medium.
