PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a propulsive box, a propulsion method and a construction method for a large cross-sectional tunnel, capable of easily and inexpensively constructing a tunnel. SOLUTION: This propulsive box has a body part 10 being a cylindrical member and a thrust transmission part 20 arranged in an inside space of the body part 10 and forwardly transmitting thrust applied from the rear. The body part 10 is composed of a plurality of main girders 11 and an outer shell 12 covering an outside surface of the main girders 11. The thrust transmission part 20 includes the propulsive box 1 arranged inside the main girders 11, the propulsion method for forming the tunnel by continuously arranging the propulsive box 1 in the ground, and the construction method of the large cross-sectional tunnel for connecting mutual these tunnels by juxtaposing a plurality of these tunnels.
