The invention relates to a level monitoring device for determining and monitoring a fill level of a medium in the process area of a vessel, by means of a transit time method using microwaves, comprising a measuring transducer and an antenna unit made up of at least one hollow conductor and one radiating element, wherein a process separating element is added in the hollow conductor (8) for process separation between the measuring transducer and the radiating element affecting the process. According to the invention, the process separating element (11) is made from a ceramic material and comprises at least one glass layer (15) by means of which the process separating element is directly vitrified in the hollow conductor in a glazing region (13).
