A muscular strength assist device is characterized by enabling an increase in the bending angle of a second accessory (20) with respect to a first accessory (10), comprising the first accessory (10) disposed along one bone of a joint, the second accessory (20) disposed along the other bone of the joint, and an artificial muscle (30) with one end (31) provided in the first accessory (10) and the other end (32) provided in the second accessory (20),and having a structure in which by using an actuator that expands and contracts by the supply or discharge of a gaseous, liquid, or solid matter or the mixture thereof as the artificial muscle (30), the operation of a user's elbow, knee, or wrist is supported and the one end (31) of the artificial muscle (30) is displaceable with respect to the first accessory (10), and in that by displacing the one end (31) of the artificial muscle (30), the bending angle of the second accessory (20) with respect to the first accessory (10) is made larger than the bending angle when the one end (31) of the artificial muscle (30) is not displaced.
