PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To more accurately determine the state of an application. SOLUTION: The monitoring program includes steps of: receiving a notification sent from a monitoring agent program in a server if the latest log record stored in a log database that stores a log record output from a predetermined application program in the server is different from a log record stored a first predetermined time before; sending an application processing request to the predetermined application program if the next notification is not received before a second predetermined time elapses after the notification from the monitoring agent program is received; and determining that an error occurs in the predetermined application program if a response to the application processing request is not received from the predetermined application program before a third predetermined time elapses after the application processing request is sent.
