<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a roll mold for molding a prism sheet capable of suppressing burrs and flashes from occurring when cutting grooves in a roll mold for manufacturing the prism sheet having a prism portion of whose crosssection is not symmetric in a lateral direction. <P>SOLUTION: In the method for manufacturing a roll mold for molding a prism sheet, the grooves are formed by cutting on the outer peripheral surface of a cylinder roll by pushing and pressing a cutting tool having two cutting edge faces and a ridge line thereof to the cylinder roll such that the ridge line is substantially perpendicular to the rotational axis of the cylinder roll and along two directions of the normal line direction of the outer peripheral surface of the cylinder roll and a direction parallel to the rotational axis of the cylinder roll, and the method is characterized in that the direction for pushing and pressing the cutting tool along the parallel direction is the direction facing toward the cutting edge face with large inclination angle to the cutting edge face with small inclination angle to the rotational axis. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT</p> |
