PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a high-reliability seismometric system, capable of accurately distinguishing vibrations due to an earthquake from vibrations due to other causes, without making the installation cost and the installation space. SOLUTION: The seismometric system 1 for sensing vibrations of a building is provided with a plurality of sensor units 7 and 8, installed in the building for detecting vibrations and a control unit 2 for determining that the building is vibrating, when the sensor units 7 and 8 simultaneously detect vibrations. The sensor units 7 and 8 are cascade-connected to the control unit 2 and provided for locations at which the sensor units 7 and 8 can acquire approximately the same vibrations from one earthquake at an interval from each other to be longer than an interval in which one human or animal can simultaneously vibrate the sensor units 7 and 8 at in the case that the sensor units 7 and 8 are provided with vibrations caused by an earthquake.
