Provided is a portable device which permits a user to recognize areas where icons not displayed are to be displayed and to easily search a desired icon, even in a case of displaying the icons by annularly arranging them in parallel by scrolling. The portable device displays a plurality of icons by arranging and displaying them and performs processing corresponding to the specified icon. The portable device is provided with a display means for annularly displaying the icons having different sizes in the order of the size, and an icon updating means for adding an icon not displayed and deleting the displayed icon, at a part where the adjacent maximum and minimum size icons are displayed.
