The device has a detection module arranged within a housing (1) and comprising a media sensor at a front side of a gate for operating a solenoid valve. The sensor is formed to open the gate during determination of insertion of money/license in an insertion slot (11). Another media sensor is provided at a back side of the gate, and detects delivery of the inserted money/license from the slot into a passage through a transmission mechanism. The latter sensor is formed to close the gate after conveyance of the inserted money/license to the passage.
