Disclosed are: a repellent for a grape pest, which has an excellent repellent effect against a grape pest and excellent safety for human bodies and animals, which is easy to use, and which has high practical applicability; and a method for repelling a grape pest. Specifically disclosed are: a repellent for a grape pest, which comprises p-menthane-3,8-diol and/or p-menthane-1,8-diol as a grape pest repellent component, preferably which comprises a carrier and the grape pest repellent component supported on the carrier in an amount of 0.01 to 100 mg per 1 cm2 of the carrier or comprises a liquid preparation and the grape pest repellent component contained in the liquid preparation in an amount of 0.2 to 20 mass% relative to 100 mL of the liquid preparation and which is so prepared that the repellent component can be volatilized at a rate of 0.2 to 200 mg per 24 hours; and a method for repelling a grape pest by using the repellent.
