A system and a method for implementing overreaching of caller information display are provided. An overreaching indication is placed to display caller information in the caller service request, and then the callee application server directly delivers the caller information based on said indication so as to the callee end-equipment displays caller information and overreach of caller information display is achieved. This invention decides whether the callee end-equipment displays caller information based upon the demand of caller end-equipment or not, and only upon when the caller end-equipment does not make clear indication or request, does the decision whether the caller information is displayed in callee end-equipment is made based on the status of callee end-equipment assigned caller information display service. Thus more effective control is achieved on whether the caller information is displayed on callee end-equipment by the caller end-equipment.
