<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a microfluid element, especially a test carrier, used for improving thorough mixing of a reagent and sample liquid. <P>SOLUTION: A microfluid element, in particular a test carrier 101 for the analysis of a liquid sample for an analyte contained therein, has a substrate 102 and a channel structure enclosed by the substrate 102. The channel structure includes an elongate mixing channel 107 and an output channel 111. The mixing channel 107 has an inlet opening 108 and an outlet opening 110, and is implemented to mix a reagent contained therein with a liquid flowing through the inlet opening 108 into the mixing channel 107. The outlet opening 110 of the mixing channel 107 is in fluid communication to the output channel 111.
