<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for winding up paper which is suitable for automation of winding paper to a pillar-like body which can wind the paper simply and at high speed. <P>SOLUTION: By winding the paper 2 to a drum 1 after giving the paper a winding up habit, the paper 2 can be wound up more easily and speedily than before.
