PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the difference between the temperatures of the end and middle of an inkjet recording head in its longitudinal direction (in the direction of an array of electro-thermal transducers). SOLUTION: An inkjet recording head includes a flow passage H1213 for a liquid for cooling a recording element substrate H1100. The flow passage is provided inside a support plate H1200 that supports the recording element substrate and along a recording element array of the recording element substrate. The shortest distance between a recording element and the flow passage at the end of the support plate is larger than the shortest distance between a recording element and the flow passage in the middle of the support plate.
